Radox Handsoap Refills

I saw in a supermarket this week Radox hand soap refills. The idea is to refill your current handwash bottle with the soap from a pouch.
Pack say it is 75% less plastic per ml so more environmentally friendly
Pack itself has the recycle sign on the back with the work 'other' inside.
My question is which is better for the environment - the bottles which can be recycled but use more plastic in the first place and are I guess heavier to transport or the pouches which use less but I'm unsure of their recycleability.
I am aware that you can bulk buy more 'greener' soaps etc that is not what I want to know I was just wondering about these packs.
What do you think?

Dusty - the answer is that the pouches should be recyclable, but most local authorities won't recycle them because there are no facilities in the UK. In some areas, this kind of plastic is being stockpiled as the technology is (apparently) being developed. I think you're safe going with the reduced packaging, as there is definitely a reduced environmental impact.
Mind you, I still think you should go for the 5l faith in nature handsoap

i had the same dilemma OP, i used the refills as they were reduced in wilkinsons. i put it out for recycling with my other plastics and it got left behind

They do a seaweed one now, although I don't know whether they do 5l of that yet.
Next time I go up to visit my parents I'll drop off my fabric conditioner with you as I've stopped using it - I'm either using soap nuts or powder and vinegar.0 -
