I've just got back from Morrisons.... I bought a MONSTER of a whole side of filleted salmon weighing just under 1.6kg for £6.22.

Considering I normally buy packs from Sainsburys weighing between 240g-280g for about £3 each.......What a bargain! :j

I will be going back for more stocks for mine!!

we didn't have the salmon tonight (the beast is in my freezer!!) as I also bought some massive Cod fillets that were reduced!

We are going on a big healthy eating thing and trying to eat more fish than meat... I bought some Ray fins, seabream and some other fish called tiapary or something... I am going to cook all three, do a big salad and put them in the middle of the table so we can all pick and see which ones we like!! Saves buying three of each fish!!!

Bought 4 thick fillets of the salmon last night for £ 2.61 a bargain . Used two last night and will cook the others today and use for sandwiches and a salmon and asparagus quiche ( asparagus was reduced to 45 pence ).
At that price its cheaper than buy a pot of paste for sandwiches and is much more tasty .

Noticed a sign in Tesco this morning advertising whole salmon at half-price.

That seems even cheaper!! The Morrison's deal is good though, got two big fillets for £1.70, had one for dinner tonight, very nice it was too!!

I reckon Morrisons must have a load of stock to use up as even at full price it's as cheap as the basics stuff from Sainsburys.

I bought 2kg yesterday, talking to fishmonger he told me that next week its haddock at half price, suppose we're all going to be very healthy.
