County Donegal - places to stay/things to do??

Hi I'm looking to go to somewhere in County Donegal for 2nights/3days. Can anyone help with suggestions/recommendations of where to stay and what's a must see??
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you in advance :)

    Hiya

We are just back from a wedding in Gweedore at the An Chuirt hotel. The hotel is gorgeous and the views are splendid but to be honest we didn't see much to do there.

What age are you talking about, what interests do you have and where in Donegal are you?

We like sightseeing and looking at old buildings - castles - estate houses etc.
We wd like to stay in a good hotel that is reasonably cheap :) and anywhere in Donegal is an option :) We don't mind traveling :)

Rathmullan is a nice quiet spot. Couple of hotels (Fort Royal and Rathmullan House, but not that cheap) on the outskirts. Nice B&B in the town called The Knoll. Also a good chippy and a nice beach walk round to Kinnegar Bay. Ramelton is closeby and Portsalon for an unbelievable beach. Letterkenny is about 15-20 minutes away. Then take a drive round the coast etc etc......
