Not sure which bit of Glasgow you're near, but in the Clyde Valley (towards Lanark) you'll be tripping over fruit farms. I think just about all of them do PYO.0

How weird, I was strawberry picking today and it was fabulous. It's not far actually. I first went to Briarlands Farm in Stirling which cost £12 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Good clean fun and spent about 2 hours there. Then we went to Boghall Farm (follow signs for Aberfoyle/Thornhill) where we picked strawberries and goosberries. It was just lovely.
The boys I took were 12 so who says they need computer games to keep them occupied? They had a fab time.Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

Hi Fletch,
Is that the one with the giant "Pillows" (trampoline things)?
Is it near the safari park?
Thanks

I know it's a bit of a drive from Glasgow, but I really recommend Cairnie fruit farm:

Yes, the giant pillows. Briarlands. Maybe it's better suited to younger kids but it was all good clean fun. Loads and loads of space for them to run around and no need to fret they'd come to danger. There's pedal go carts and a hay pyramid climbing thing. It was good.
The PYO fruit was good too. They get to eat a couple (though trying to get DS and his pal to "steal" one or two was actually quite tough, lawful weans that they are:rotfl:) but it cost me twenty quid on strawberries and gooseberries. Have a mountain of them and been eating strawberry tarts all day long (HUGE sacrifice)Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
