Sainsbury's dishwasher tablets.

I went to my Sainsbury's in Bolton to buy dishwashing powder 'cos those tablets are a rip-off right?

They have an end of line clearance on their own tablets and they are only 79p for 22 tablets. I bought 6 boxes - believe me that is cheap. They have the same tablets with 44 tablets in a box 'on clearance' for 2.79 - reduced from 3.79!!!

I think they are marked incorrectly so if you are in there, have a gander.

Wolfy.

P.S They do the business too, better than my old powder.
if i had known then what i know now

I do my shopping at Sainsburys but I never buy dishwasher tablets there as they are too expensive, I get them from Home Bargains for 99p a box of 30 3-in-1 tablets & get a few boxes at a time cos they're so cheap!
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

Who/Where are Home Bargains? I thought I was doing well using Lidl's at £1.79 for 30. But 99p for 30 is an excellent deal especially if you are happy with quality of cleaning.
    Nice to save.

While we are on the subject, Sainsburys is doing a special Bounce tumble dryer sheets BOGOF (40 sheets). making it just under £2 per pack. For those who use tumble dryer, I think it's good value as some supermarket do them for almost a fiver each pack.
  • I dunno about the others 'cos I used to get Asda's own brand - and that was rubbish compared to these dual action Sainsbury's tablets. Unless my eyes were deceiving me, I think I saw those 'Powerball' ones for 11.55 for 48!!!! If they are anything short of magical, then someone should be sued!

Its is true after about 2-3 months using cheap dishwasher taps all my cutlery started going rusty.
I only use Finish tabs and now have no probs.

just for anyone who is interested but hasn't seen it - have a look a the moneysaving old style board and you can see how to make your own tumble dryer sheets - apparently not difficult, and all the wonderful things you can do with them to :o

I'm afraid I have to agree with Angela. I don't usually buy brand only stuff, but with dishwasher tablets I've learned my lesson.

Cheap tablets made my expensive cutlery go rusty and brown, and didn't clean that well either. Since using Finish I've had no problems. So one area I don't skimp on anymore!
