Flybe luggage challenge

I am travelling with flybe in a couple of weeks and in order to avoid paying the new hold charge, I want to buy a bag I can take on board. It must be no bigger than 35cm x 50cm x 23 cm and as max allowance is 10k, the lighter the better - any suggestions?

Thanks

My girlfriend picked up a small suitcase, with wheels and an extendable handle for just £6 in the Croydon Poundstretcher. Quite good quality too and, it's within the limits for hand luggage.

The best suitcases I have had have been TravelPro. Many airlines provide these bags to their airline staff due to being hard wearing.

One of the major differences I have found (amongst others) with these bags is that all handles are screwed (as opposed to studs), which means they can be easily repaired.

To top it all, I have found you an absolute bargain on one that is suitable for taking on board:

    From the Flybe website .....
"Hand baggage for Economy Plus passengers
    Maximum permitted dimensions = 50cm x 35cm x 23cm.
    Max weight = 10kg + laptop computer. "

how picky are these airlines? - click on the link and the dimentions given are in inches, which when you convert are just an ickle, tiny bit bigger than the "Maximum permitted dimensions"

I wouldn't get away with even a millimetre - never seem to get lucky :>(

Ps not all airlines have same size restrictions - some are smaller!
