Hi can anyone help me. I got an email today from the Accountant in Bankruptcy telling me that my application for bankruptcy was accepted. I am on Job seekers allowance at the moment and wondering that when i return to work how much will i have to contribute towards my bankruptcy? Also is their a restriction on when i can return to work?
Im totally new to bankruptcy and would appreciate as much info as possible with regards to this.
many thanks

Sorry, had popped off. Unfortunately I'm not sure about the Scottish system - this will bump up your post so hopefully someone who knows the Scottish system will see it and help.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

No there is no restrictions when you can return to work, as soon as you secure a job then you can start.
When you do get a job ask your trustee for a new SoA and fill it in in with new details. Don't forget you will need to up things like travel. If you want someone to check it over then put it up before you send it back.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Once I get a job do i start contributing to my bankruptcy monthly/weekly. My bankruptcy was awarded on the LILA Scheme. (low income low assets) as I am on Jobseekers allowance so at the minute i dont pay any contribution
Sorry to appear stupid. what is a SoA? what also do you mean when you say about up things like travel??
.
Thanks

A SoA means Statement of Affairs. Merry has posted the link to one that we use on here.
If you are working then you will be incurring extra costs to get to your job so you would need to include those in the new SoA. You could possibly also need to buy extra clothes for work as well.
