Proof of AIP?

I recently had an application for a mortgage with Yorkshire Bank accepted. They checked my credit history, wage slips, bank statements etc....

I have been to see a house today and put an offer in, the sellers estate agent now wants me to prove I have a mortgage arranged, wage slips, bank statements etc...

1) What do I need of the mortgage lender?
2) Why does the estate agent need to see my wage slips and proof of deposit?

1/ a copy of your agreement in principle
2/ they want to try to nick the deal from the bank. And they need to see the deposit to show you have real intent I guess.

Can someone tell me what exactly the bank/estate agent need to see to prove deposit? My deposit is coming from a family member, do I need them to give me a copy of their bank statement?
