  • And, as others have observed, you get what you pay for. We seem to be very savvy when it comes to other goods and services, but not on choosing the professionals who will carry out the biggest financial transaction of our lives.
  • Looking at their website in the past few mins, they seem to be making amendments. But curiously they show Miss Gonzalez as an employee (I thought she was with Homes LLP).

  • thats right all they are at Homes (losers) newly set up trying the similar idea of Wolstenholmes with the site.

Wolstenholmes are separate to them. I completed my matter with wolstenholmes few weeks ago, and provided there are pros & cons, you expect its everywhere and every profession (even medical, police....you name it negligence/breach is as far more worse and serious)...not just a complaint....when a doctor /teacher fails, ommits then this is ok but when a solcitor delays this is published. I would imagine it is unfair on staff/business.

Anyway, I finally complted and to be fair those of you had the poor service are the unfortunate one out of hundreds. My solicitor actually came by my place and dropped the title docs and deeds.( i mean which soli does that) By way of extra mile indicates there are few exceptional staff there and service.

Reputation, media, exaggerating are all expression and false pretence. I must admit the staff there are LEGENDS !!!

Wish the firm very best and sucess.

Thank you once again Mo. x x

What were the problems you encountered, Dee (you said "pros and cons")?

And how did you come to post here today? Did someone ask you to? It just seems something of a coincidence.

Do people who want to leave a review about a company, leave their opinion in a forum or actually go to do so on a review site...?

It is definately the case of staff or other people involved with Wolstenholmes being told about the amount of negative press. Everyone on this forum has the sense and personal experience to ignore any positive comments because we KNOW they are fabricated.

The worrying thing is that this forum is had over 24,000 views and over 230 posts....

    There are 2 important sayings:
"What goes around comes around" and "Karma's a b*tch"

Wolstenholmes are going to fall very hard and every other thief involved will wish they had a conscience
  • Actually, dee's post contains a glaring error which suggests that what s/he says isn't true and also that s/he isn't a solicitor/conveyancer. It's only just occurred to me.

Shall we have a guessing game or do you want me to be a smart-aleck?

    Just a quick point.
I received a letter from my case worker dated 9/12 and have tried three times this week to get a date amended as she has put the wrong information down.

I am being told she is there or is at lunch but I never get a return call to two contact numbers.I am off to email now
  • Just checked my Current account and appears that a CHAP for the £3460 that I was owed has turned up in it. Spooky!
I've had no commonication from Wolstenholmes about this.

Just need the 'Furnuture', money 'appearing' then we're all square. (over a month later)

I've had no feedback on the complaint email I sent though.

    Fingers crossed

Faster this lot are out of business the better for all concerned in my opinion.

Shall we talk about the pros & cons mentioned above.

Can anyone out there please explain the CONS to me as the PROS do not exist in my case.

I have my own opinion but might be wrong.

Oh yes, like obtaining money for a service without providing that expected service.
  • My experience of Wolstenholmes like most others is terrible but I don't blame the people doing the job, it's obvious the conditions must be terrible, how else could I have got through so many assistants and solicitors in 6 months! Anyway big problem now is that I've completed my sale about a month ago and they still haven't paid my Estate agent!! The estate agent have been quite good but have now issued a 7 day notice of legal proceeding. Wolstenholme claim to have sent a cheque on the day of completion, but and there's always a but they can't check if it's been cashed! They probably never sent it. I can't get hold of anyone to complete this transaction and this is just more worry. I've asked them to pay me directly and I'll sort it but they are ignoring the e-mails and calls as per usual.
