I posted asking about hair dye a few weeks ago. I have tried a few times but I cant find the thread. It was about covering grey hair. Can somebody more technically minded than me help please.

Here you go:

Here's how to locate one of your posts in future click on your User name and select Find More posts.
If it's a thread you started yourself, then you can click your User name and select View Public Profile. On this page, choose the Find All Threads started By option.
Hope this helps

Hi
I'm new to this myself and finding it very confusing to navigate the site but I have managed to locate threads I've 'lost' by doing the following:
1) go to the 'search button' with the down arrow just above the top of the chat forum posts next to the link that says 'new posts' (NOT the search box right at the top of the whole site). It is the one that is a sort of beige colour I think although I'm colour blind so that might be wrong!
2) Ignore the box to enter a search word and instead click on 'advanced search'
3) enter your own user name in the 'search user name' (it must be exactly right including upper/lower case)
4) click 'search now'
5) that should give you a list of all your own posts so if you posted to the thread about hair colours hopefully it will show up!
hope this helps
Good luck!

oh thanks to you both Dee and Pennies!
... those ways are MUCH easier
Now for a new problem!
Have either of you got any idea how when i am looking at a list of threads (usually having done a keyword search) I can keep viewing the popup that appears of the first post in the thread? When i first hover over the title of the post or thread i get a little overview (saves waiting for the whole page to load to see if it's actually what i want). However, before i have a chance to read it (and I'm a quick reader) the popup thingy disappears and the only way I have found so far to get it back is to move my mouse and hover over another different thread and then return!!!! I often have to move off three times and return to be able to read it all!!! Is it me or is this site incredibly difficult to get used to navigating????

No, I'm afraid there is no way around that, Nenen, except to click on the link and open the thread. Sorry!

Many thanks for your reply. I can't think of anything else I need to ask right now but really appreciate you asking and I'm sure more questions will arise as I try to navigate the site. It's very good to know that there are people out there in cyberspace who will offer their time and trouble to reply to my little difficulties. :j
