Blackout curtain?

Not really sure what I'm looking for but I know what I need! My computer is situated in my back room right by my french doors/windows. As summer approaches, the sun will be blinding me round the back all evening so I'm wondering what kind of sheild/net/curtain I can buy that will block the sun from the whole width and length of the doors/window that will allow me to see out? Is there such a thing? Hopefully something that looks nice too, although not terribly important. I'm studying and can't be off the comp for the whole afternoon/evening.
Any ideas...please.
Grateful thanks.

I have had a similar problem.
Ikea do some cheap roller blinds that should fill the bill, mind you you will have to roll them up to be able to see out.
