Party and Catering - any ideas?

I'd definitely prefer a relaxed enjoyable party, rather than a run around rugged one! The buffet option seems to make most sense, and we can do most of the preparation before... plus might be able to con (sorry... ask nicely) some of our friends into helping!
thanks lots for all the ideas and stuff, it's made it seem far more manageable than it did a few days ago!"Which is the bliss of solitude;

20ps.... 20p :-) and counting0 -
If any of your friends have a teenage daughter, it might be worth enrolling them to do the clearing away of used plates, and bringing out the desserts, for say a tenner each, plus they get to be at the party!
The chaotic bit always seems to come when everyone's tables are crowded with plates, so having a load of black bags handy (I'm assuming you will use paper disposable plates and cutlery for your buffet?) that someone can whizz around with, gathering them up, will clear the way for the rest of the evening's fun!I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Excellent plan :-)
I'll speak to mum and see if any of their friends have teenage daughters.
