When agreeing the mortgage you will have said a date when the mortgage is taken from out of your account- e.g. the 3rd of everymonth.

Once you have completion of your mortgage (effectively the keys of the house when all money is transfered and recieved) your mortgage will start to earn interest.

If you moved in on the 24th of JUly and money was due out on the 3rd of every month, in most cases the money won't be taken till the 3rd of Sept. ( 1 months mortgage + interest for the number of days between July24th- Aug 3rd)

Of course you could always ask the mortgage company.
:money: Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to everyone who has helped.
