Bank of England base rate.

Hi all, just checked on the BOE website and after the meeting today they have decided to keep the base rate unchanged at 4.5%. Looks like I will have to bit the bullet and remortgage now ;)

    In tonights standard the CBI have moaned at the Bank of Englands MPC to cut base rates instead of leaving them on hold for the eighth month running.So who knows what the future base rates will be
  • A fix or a base rate tracker I think . Halifax has 2 good rates on both at the moment of 4.39% ;)

    Halifax deal ends on Monday - I received a letter from London & Country warning me of this today.

    Have a look at National Counties i got a 3yr fixed with them recently at a rate of 4.39
  • Looks like I will have to act quickly then ! What fees has the national counties got? Tom s - if its not being too nosey
    are you getting a mortgage on your own . If so how much do Halifax offer a times basis ie 3times etc.

    I can also recomend London and Country, we remortgaged with them in feb and they were so helpful, got it sorted in no time at all and there was no fee!!
