Golfers....can anyone help me find a bag?

Hi

I know absolutely nothing at all about golf...my OH is an avid golfer... anyway, he has been to play golf at the belfry today and the handles of his bag have 'snapped'..(bless him!) .it was a Titliest (is that right?) bag that he won in a competition.

I want to get him a really decent good quality golf bag....my budget is about £100..I know he would be perfectly happy with a £20 bag but I want to get him something really nice...not too flash looking tho (i.e. no bright colours etc)... he moved 200 miles from his home and his mates to settle with me and golf is the thing he loves!

I have spotted this one on ebay ( to buy in black):

Can anyone give me any advice as to whether this is a good buy (I haven't a clue with the weight of it or how many pockets etc!!)... or point me in the right direction to something else?

Many thanks in advance!

x

Your probably best going to a golf shop and asking them.

Do you know if he would prefer a stand bag or does he normally use a trolley?

Once you know then it's a good idea to go somewhere like Nevada Bob's or American Golf and have a look - the guys (and girls) there will be able to point you in the right direction but you should be able to get something decent for £100.

Also don't rule out visiting your local golf club (if they have a shop) they're not as expensive as you might think and the staff will play regularly so can give good advice.
