Littlewoods will try to reclaim the money off her but with no signature
they will pass the debt back to you so all in all its quite pointless.
Thats what happened to me and littlewoods will first of all send a letter themselves
or sell the debt onto a debt collection agency and whatever happens then is a joke
as all that the person who owes the money has to do is to ignore any letters sent
as if you reply to a letter like this that confirms who you are and where you live
and that can start proceedings, all she will have to do is to ignore the letters.
Even if she doesnt ignore the letters all she has to do is ask for a copy
of a written agreement that states she had the goods and that she owes the money
and if you havent got that the debt will be back to you as you are the account holder
and she is the client.. go to your local CAB office and they will tell you the same.0 -

I know its very annoying but thats the crux of the matter, the best thing is to
go to the CAB office and ask for some alternatives, I mean get the person who owes the money to sign a statement that can be typed up on a PC saying that she owes the money and get that countersigned by an independent witness then go to littlewoods with that as proof so it wont get bounced back to the account holder.0 -
I was in the same position and a good *friend* ordered a few things from my account in my catalogue and didn't pay for them. She had all sorts of excuses and there was nothing I could do about it but pay(£150), but what really annoyed me is her and her children had a fortnights holiday last year but could find no money for her debts! and I frequently see them coming out of the chippie loaded down with bags of food! I wasn't the only one she did this to apparently.
I do miss being friends with her but this has gone on now for about 3 years and I've learned my lesson and wouldn't allow this to happen again! I hope you manage to sort your problem out!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
I agree that you help out a friend and they they kick you in the teeth.
I was owned about £600 from my ex-best mate. We bought a house together and I paid the deposit. Stupid me should have made a claims to the small claims court. As I never saw that money. Mind you I was too soft saying pay me when you have the money. And not setting up a proper schedule of payments.
If you have problems with littlewoods coming back to you. I would go around when you know that she and her children will be there and take the phones. As the goods have not been paid for. So are still the property of littlewoods/ yourself.
And hold them to ransom until she coughs up.
There are only two people I would lend money to or buy goods on behalf for is my husband and my parents. And no-one else full-stop. I learnt my lesson the hard way. And at the time there was no way I could afford to loose that sort of money as I had to get an overdraft to get the money in the first place. But now I am savvy it is too late to get it back.
All the best hope it works out for you.
Yours

Hi,
I would suggest a face to face chat with her to see what her attitude is ie cant pay or won't pay or can she offer any solution, time scales of payment etc etc
It seems a lot of chinese whispers via your BF and her dad etc.
Maybe say you have come to collect the mobiles and see how she feels about that.
If a face to face meeting does not resolve the issue I would then pursue some of the other suggestions.
Good Luck.0
