Can i claim fees back if I stayed with the same mortgage company?

Hi

I had a 2 year fixed mortgage deal with A&L.

I remorgaged with them on a different deal and rate in July last year and paid an admin fee of around £295.

Although I am still with the same mortgage company, can I still claim the fees back from them?

Yes, my fixed 2 year fixed deal came to and end I had to take out another 2 year fixed deal and a different rate.

Then there is nothing to claim back, this is a product fee for the new rate.

If you dont change lender you dont pay any redemption fees. The only fees you pay are the retail purchase fees and like any product you buy with a price tag on it, you pay it.

What you are suggesting is a bit like going back to Tesco and asking for your money back on the items you bought last week.

No you didnt. You could have let it move on to the terms set out in the original contract. You chose to buy a new deal.
