Voucher question - which supermarkets???

Been lurking around this bit for a while, but am a bit confused as to which supermarkets take vouchers for things you haven't bought. My sainsbury's definitely doesn't. I though someone on here posted a littl while ago saying Tesco were tightening up and their policy was to only accept one per transaction. (We don't have self scan) Anybody know what the policy is at Morrison's and Asda, as we have these nearby. If the answer is on a thread already please ca ;) n someone point me in the right direction?? Many thanks.

The only way of finding out what your local stores policies are is to try using coupons! In general it's only Asda and Tesco that take coupons but the policy of each will vary. I've also heard Waitrose do but I've never been in a Waitrose. My Tesco takes one of any coupon or two if you've bought the product but a Tesco in another part of town will only take one coupon. My Asda takes a set percentage but is handy to use when I've got loads which are near their expiry date. The policy of any store is down to the local manager.

I rarely shop at Morrisons but I've never known them to accept coupons.
  • My Morrisons can be a bit tricky - depends on who you get on the checkouts. If I get middle-aged women (sorry to all the middle aged wonem on here - I'm one too!) they tend to begrudge me the money off and don't like taking them.

I try to aim for the young bored-looking lads and they pass through as many as I have.

Asda are much better - most of their staff will again, take as many as I've got, but I have occasionally come across people who only take 10% off the total cost of your shopping.

I'm just luck that I live in an area that's not clamped down yet!

    Hi

An ADSA has just opened near me, so in a bid to keep my custom Sainsbury's have just sent me a few £5 off when you spend £30 vouchers (only to be used in local store). First question, can I use these in the new ADSA? And, if so, do I need to spend £30? I don't spend that much :o

    Thank you!

I do know that Tescos Take these coupons, as I have used these ... ie £3 off £10 and others ... Dunno if they count as the ONE coupon they are taking now, as stated in my local tescos Yesterday!
