TESCO - money off coupons from Cash Machines

Whilst at Tesco yesterday at the cash machine, saw some posters saying that if you withdraw cash and ask for a receipt you will get a money off coupon. The one I got was for 35p off frozen vegetables. Apparently there are 12 different coupons to collect, all Tesco specific.

I got 50p off a £2 spend on multipack crisps.
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!

I saw the same ad at my local Tesco at the beginning of the week so I went today and got the weeks money and what did I get on my receipt - Buy Car or Home insurance - Claim a FREE K'A'RCHER pressure washer - not exactly a money off coupon!!!!!! I went to customer service and they knew nothing about the promotion but after checking it out they came back and said it was random, maybe a 1 in 10 chance, and that I could always try again to which I told her I had no money left to withdraw. Maybe they should have the odds printed just like scratchcards.
Anyway I'm off to write a letter of complaint.

Anyone else had any problems like this? Apparently this is a trial at selected stores.

You dont have to lift money out. Just ask machine for a printed balance and you get a coupon printed on that. I have done this serveral times and get a coupon every time. :D

I got a couple of these as well (got a balance print and a receipt print). As there is a bogof offer on 12 packs of Walkers crisps for £2.05, I used both to get a further £1 off. So 24 packs for £1.05 .... bargain!

I went to my local Tesco express last night to withdraw some money and thought I'd give it a go, see what I could get. No balances available... everyone's now getting a balance printed so the machines are running out of paper (which is a bit of a waste in my opinion). There were loads of discarded slips on the floor, I guess some people didn't want the coupon they recieved
