Shopping.com - any good?

Hiya,

Received an email from ebay this morning regarding shopping.com

By submitting 10 reviews after 01/07/09 you will get a fiver paid into your paypal account.

Is this any good, do you have to be really specific on the reviews for them to accept it as a review?

Hope someone can help me on this one as i'd like to do it but dont want to waste my time doing reviews if they dont get counted.

Ann:confused:

    I got the offer too.

You can apparently earn up to £100 as you're not limited to 10 reviews.

I doubt that many people will find 200 products they can review on Shopping.com's list though.

Added from the promotional page on their website

Participants are not limited to only writing 10 reviews for £5. Maximum monthly payout per user is £50 and total maximum payout £100.
You will receive payments through your PayPal account upon creating your Shopping.com account.

I have written the 10 reviews this morning but it says it may be 2 weeks before they will appear on the site due to checks etc...

They prefer reviews of between 100-300 words bearing in mind that 300 is the MAX which is better than some other review sites as you don't need to spend as long typing!

Hopefully will get my £5 soon

I don't understand how you find things to review! :S It's so confusing.. only managed to write one so far!

Edit: ok, done, but that was SO hard!! do we need to do anything to get paid or just wait?

Oooh thanks for this - ive just had a look and i could easily write about 50 reviews for stuff.

But i dont want to waste my time writing them to find out we dont get paid for our efforts.

So its only valid for the firt 10,000 reviews. I think i have my maths right but that means 1000 people doing the minimum 10 reviews each. How do we know when all 10,000 reviews have been done?

Am i just being cynical in thinking that loads of people will write a review and the company will just select the best ones - rejecting all the others. Therefore i could potentially be wasting a chunk of my time?
