Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you wont find a cheap to buy and run colour laser printer.
The printer will be cheap to buy but running costs will be expensive.
or
The printer will be expensive and the running costs will be slightly cheaper.
Dont buy a printer based on its price check the toner and drum prices out first, the printer can cost £200 but each toner will be £60-70 and the drum will set you back £120.
working on £60 per toner with a life of 4000 pages at 5%
Drum life of 20000 single pass pages, remember each colour uses a pass so you get 5000 colour pages per drum. so for 4000 pages the drum is £96.
cost per page not including the paper will be 8.4p if they are all colour a full page colour photo will cost more in toner but the drum use will be the same.
A black page would cost about 2.1p
The advantages of colour laser are huge, very quick and quality is very high but colour printing costs are pretty high too. i have never really looked att he costs of inkjets as getting the pages per cart is difficult. especially with tri colour carts as yellow is the one to go first.0
