See, if you'd told us that we wouldn't be hassling you so much :D

You would and we all know I need it ;)

Next weeks job is to hassle the boy for the money he said he would be paying back since it hasnt materialised yet.

Then set to work finding mystery shops we can do together while hes on leave which arent all 'quick serve' food jobs.

He's already discovered that the dogs bed is comfy to sleep in after a drink or two
the adjustment to sleeping there until he pays up shouldnt be too hard :D

The comments re your OH made me smile. Does he know the financila situation you're in? If he did, perhaps he might be more likely to cough up a bit sooner....

He does, he knows my salary and that I work hard to not get in to debt. Though equally it is a situation of my own making- I earn very little due to a choice to do a job I love over a job which paid well- though at the moment his situation is worse, he's starting a DMP to get himself sorted out at the end of the month but has just had a ridiculous car repair bill he couldnt put off any longer due to his moving to a new work location - at the moment he's in London so doesnt need the car, but his new place is about 80 miles from the house he rents with his brother and nowhere near the train line.

As frustrating as it is I'm going to bide my time on this one, I'll get the money when he has it in the mean time I'll keep chipping away at it, thankfully the expensive outlay MS job has been moved to payments pending now so once I've organised my tax liability on it I should be able to get another chunk paid off.

I just hope the hound doesnt mind sharing with me for a week or so. :rotfl:

Well one small extra payment made to the card today, and I remembered to update the snowball calculator with the interest whilst I was checking the balance.
It may only be £10 I paid off today but its better there than having been spent on what usually amounts to fresh air when I'm out shopping!

Every little helps - that's the spirit! I'm always amazed by the people with five figure debts etc. who remain so cheerful from tiny payments such as daily clicks and the like. It helps you put things in perspective :)

Very true, I guess I'm lucky in that if I wanted to I really could just ignore the card and pay it off at £45 a month where it wouldnt impact my monthly budget at all but I'd be letting it run on for months longer than it needs to and paying silly amounts in interest over the lifetime of the balance.

At least once its paid off this time I can use it to hopefully fund my OU studies (or at least what little of them is not covered by Tesco Clubcard deals and my OU finance) as at the moment paying for those are what seem to be really upsetting my day to day budgets - if my maths was right the £1200 my next 12 months of courses are predicted to cost will be offset by about £800 of funding and at the moment I have clubcard vouchers which changed up to OU vouchers are worth about £250 making what needs to be paid look alot more managable. The OSBUSA account that OU offer you cant use vouchers to help pay down the balance which would make it virtually useless for me even though it has a pretty low interest rate.

Well another good day today paid another £60 off the card bringing the total debt down to £711.50 and 17 months before its cleared.

Actually I'm lying its £100 I paid off but thanks to A&L being stunningly slow to transfer money and the fact I destroyed the debit card for that account to stop me spending on it I had to pay for fuel in my car with the credit card due to an utter lack of funds in my day to day current account (around £18 and as himself is here this week I know I'll end up buying something for us before he goes south again on Tuesday).
