Advice required.
Returned recently to UK having buried head in sand by escaping abroad for 2 years. At present living in rented bedsit and not been caught up by debt collectors. I owe £60k spread over 15 credit cards, 2 unsecured loans, 3 overdrafts, and £2k overpaid tax credits. Is it not true that if after 6 years they will not chase me...that'll save £500 BR fees?
many thanks

So could you manage without bank accounts....credit....nothing that could leave a paper trail to you? pay EVERYTHING in cash? they will pursue & find you eventually its only a matter of timeWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

It is possible , yes they might give up chasing you , Ive heard about this 6 year rule vaguely , I understand it means that they cant chase you for a debt that there has been no communication between you for 6 years (12 years for secured debt)0

They can still chase you for the debt after 6 years but they cannot enforce it as they will be statute barred by that time. If that is what you want to do then if they do catch up with you don't communicate back to them or the 6 years starts over again.
