the only thing that worries about the pre-order from Tesco is they dispatch pre-orders before the release date so if they dispatch tomorrow with they charge the price listed then as opposed to the price on release day?

I don't think that's right to be honest. I work for Tesco and our system definitely does not have the price as being £26 so I don't know how anybody could come to that conclusion? My friend (a Tesco Manager) is a serious gamer and even he couldn't tell me the price for certain.

I asked our entertainment department and they've said that even they don't know the price until the day before release as that's when the game and the POS will arrive. I know that with Fifa 10 it showed our price as being quite high until just before release day then dropped right down so I have nooooooooooooooo idea about COD

No, it will be the cheapest price they sell it for online that the price promise is for. They often don't run these deals online as the whole point of them is to get you into the store in the hope you will buy other stuff while you are there.

Reading the posts about the Tesco price promise, I ordered MW2 for the PS3 a couple of months ago from Tesco Direct for £35.97 - so going by the post above it would seem that there would be no change if they offer this for less in store.

If I picked this up in store - does anyone know what the Tesco Direct policy is for returning goods - can you simply take them into the store for a refund ?

£32 in Asda been confirmed on hot deals. My Sainsburys dosent open till 8 am looks like a drive to Gateshead
