    I have a secured loan Co who still phone me, even though they know I am BR. They phoned 3 days ago, it went something like this;
    Hello its *******
    Me: Hello
"We want to talk to you about your account and the arrears"
    Me: "By all means"
    Security check
"Can you make a payment today?"
    Me:" I rather not "
    "Why not."
Me: Well its a Monday, i never feel like paying on a Monday.
    "Pardon"
Me: " I am never at my best on a Mon, come to think of it Tues, Weds, Thurs and Fri are dreadful days too"
    Phone went down.

Never normally even go through security, but though I would be wicked. Rather enjoyed it I have too say.

Thankyou once again everyone, i will more than likely pop to the drop in and wait to be seen at the CAB tomoz of i am out of the drs in time.
So with the eon, i really need to give them up to date readings to see how much i owe, and once BR will they just arrange for me to have a token meter put in???

    Hi Bcljnk,

I dont want to hijack your thread but we to are with E.ON for gas and electricity, both are credit meters. We are up to date with the payments, possibly in credit does the E.ON representitive think that we might lose our credit meters?

    Hi bcljnk,

Helena is out of the office today, so thought I’d get back to you on her behalf.

Usually the account will be closed from the date of the bankruptcy and a new ‘post’ bankruptcy account opened in your name, this is so the exact amounts owing can be calculated and you have a fresh account going forward.

The meters are generally changed from credit to prepayment at this time as well. This is likely to be arranged to be around the time the account is going to be closed, so the new account has a new meter from day one.

Like Helena said yesterday, make sure you take the readings, especially when when the meters are changed.

    Hi copier_guy,

I can’t give you a definitive answer as each case is reviewed in detail, but there is a possibility that you will remain with credit meters.

As discussed above, normally the account would be closed to the bankruptcy date and a new account opened, prepayment meters would also be fitted.

However, I understand that if you have never had any issues financially with E.ON regarding the electricity and gas accounts both of these normal practices can be overlooked. It will depend purely on your exact circumstances, as each case is different.

    Sorry I can’t be more precise. :o

Well i havnt even quite missed a payment yet, but have cancelled the direct debits, already had a letter from eon saying i owe sixty odd quid to bring me upto date with my payments....i am in debt with them by about £300, so dont know how i only owe sixty odd quid.
Then this morning i received 2 letters one for each of my loans with tsb to say the DD has been cancelled and they wont be able to collect my payment, and its unlikley they will be able to get my payment for its due date and to send them a cheque straightaway.
If they do not receive the payment within 7 days of the due date, which is 3/7 they will try to collect it from any current or savings account i have held with the tsb..including joint accounts (i removed my name from joint account, so this should be ok)
If they dont receive it promply they will pass it on to their central collections department.
I have also put aside a couple of credit card statements, which are probably due to be paid any day now, including a TSB one.
Things havnt even got started and i am bricking it, i wont have the money for BR for ages yet and also havnt taken proper advice due to not getting through to CAB, i would prefer to see them as they may help with the form.
HELP how bad will it get!!!
Ralistically how long can i hold off to enable me to gett he fee together??

The reason they are saying £60 is that is the payment you have missed, i had 8 creditors including credit cards and loans, it went on 4 months of missed payments trying to sort it out with a debt company CAB and then eventually going BR so i was 4 months missed and with some i was 5 months missed, they always ask for the payments you have missed.
You can fend them off by saying you are seeking advice, that will give you a month or two, then a relative is ill with flu, then you have caught it, and so on.
After 4 months some of them were threatening action but none of them did it, some went to a debt company who were easy to fend off, some were on the brink of a CCJ but none actually did it, so i would work on 4 months as the max, as it was just about over with mine.
    44lb off and 13 to go.:j
