SatNav System

shockingmoment

Hi everyone. My sisterinlaw wants a satnav for her husband (b'day) - he's a mobile engineer - drives loads.

Prefer Pocket PC type (addresses /phonebook/ tap address to nav to etc)
Bluetooth to phone

Cheap!

Any suggestions greatfully received.

Thanks,

OK_Sauce

There are cheaper models, but the Tom Toms seem to be very popular.

Does he have a pocket PC already ? If so then TomTom software can be bought for around £90

with a PPC (with Bluetooth for the phone), he will also need a GPS reciever. There are many choices but i like the Holux GR236 which is about £70 from the above supplier.

If he does not have a PPC then the all in one versions like this are the most cost effective options as they have the GPS reciever and software (Destinator usually) built in but may not have bluetooth capability.

Other than that i would recommend a Dell Axim these are powerful PPC's that can be obtained from dell at a significant discount if you keep an eye on their site.
