Hi my husband and i are going BR on Thursday from CCCS advice. When i last spoke to the BR team there, discussing if we should or not, she said well if u do u should put this up and that up, i didnt pay much attention as i wasnt sure at the time this is the route were gonna take.
So i just called them to ask about our budget, regarding whats recomended to put down for clothes, car maintenace per car, house maintenance and food. I also have baby on the way, can i put anything down for buying stuff for the baby (we have nothing so far). He kinda refused to help and made me feel so bad, i even asked 'do u think im being disloyal'? To which he said no but thats how he made me feel.
I explained i'm hoping all my BR and OR stuff will go thro asap and im trying to make my form as perfect as possible to help it along its way. I even explained my reason for wanting to do everything in my power to assist the OR so there not back and forth so much, and that is that its making me ill and affecting my baby. I explained i ended up in hospital last week as we thought i was loosing the baby.
Anway i'm diverting, is what i'm asking of them unfair, as the BR specialist made out this is how they help? And either way can anyone advise me with some guidlines of what to put.
Thank you in advance.

Well so far i havent put anything down for car maintenance or house maintenance as i have no idea what is resonable to put? Also nothing for baby stuff, but i have put £40 for clothes and my husband has put £30. We have put down £310 a month for food etc for both of us, which is going to be extremly tight as i like to eat healthy foods and spend a lot of fruit each week (i doubt im going to be able to anymore), but i dont think they will accept any higher?
Thanks0 -
You can start by putting £200 each for food per month:D. The allowances for bc are far more generous than when on a DMP or IVA. The judge/OR likes to be able see than you can maintain a reasonable lifestyle(not lavish)after bc without the use of credit ect.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Dont suppose anyone has any ideas on car and house maintenance and buying things for the baby? 0 -
Things like gas/electric are about £60 each, water as it is,house ins about £20,pets £20,phone combined with mobile about £60,ummmmmmm medical(as in dentist,opticians,perscriptions)£20,car tax, insurance, petrol, ummmmmm thats all i can think of a the moment. Dont forget you have to put it down as it is now but once the baby is born you will be able to up the housekeeping by about £50 or more a month.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

I put £50 per month down for a holiday (for a family of four) as you are allowed a cheap U.K break. Maybe £30 as babies often go free and won't need entertaining under the age of one.
I spent £1000 on baby stuff  because there was a seven-year gap between my daughter and son and I hadn't kept anything so do factor that in. I did save about £500 not using formula milk in the first year though

Thanks do i add all this under the essential bills (or however they word it) or online does it have a seperate box for this?0

to be honest i did mine by hand so you will have to ask one of the more "on line doers":D
I know i had to put medical, holiday, pet insurance, house insu in a box marked other essential out goings.DXFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
