My ds has broken his ps2 (old version) by 1 breaking the draw mechanism whic i have fixed with a match and 2 by breaking the isb and eye toy ports. The drive is about to give up again so i though it would be best just to get a new one.
Anyone have any ideas where the cheapest and most reliable place to get ine from is
cheers

Try instore at your local HMV. They have 4 or 5 different deals on0

I got one off eBay a couple of weeks ago and it only cost £50 inc P&P - couldn't find such a good price anywhere else.
Plus it arrived 2 days later so probably better service than i would have got from an online store!

Our Playstation 2 broke just before Christmas a year ago,it was about 3 years old and I contacted Playstation's customer service to see if they knew of where we could get it fixed. They told me they couldn't help with repairs but as long as the product has not been dropped they will do a replacement service for £50.00. Three days later a new Playstation2 was delivered and we were able to swap the Playstation 2 any cables and up to 2 controllers for £50.00. It was great service particularly as they were sold out in the shops at the time as it was Christmas.0

If you have some old games u don't want then why don't you just do a trade in for a preowned Ps2. Try Game or Gamestation (or your local friendly games shop!).... I am fairly sure that Gamestation will even give you a fair trade in price for your PS2 controller pads!!! (they gave me cash for my old PSone controllers!) Obviously make sure you get working controller pads with your replacement Ps2.
Just a suggestion!!

You can't trade in your PS2 if it is not working.
Controller pads are a nightmare for trade in. I think the going price is 10p! Well, thats what a PS2 steering wheel was!
Go onto eBay ... get a bargain ;-)-highguyuk-0 -
I did not mean the broken PS2 itself as trade in!!!! I meant more the games that are no longer of any use.
Just I got a good deal a few years ago when I traded in my old PS1 controllers!!!!!
eBay is prob. cheaper though some people still don't trust it and prefer face-face contact of a high street shop.
Don't be too offended highguyuk as it was only a possible idea.Grocery Challenge 2008
