BR and the press

Just been informed that you don't end up in the local rag when you become BR, is there any truth in this ?, does anybody here know ?

Only what I was told by NDL - that the guidelines changed in April and a BR will not normally be announced locally unless fraud has been involved and it is in the public interest.

Thats not yet oficially been confirmed (they put the dates back for some reason) now though it seems to be down to the OR's discretion

In our local paper last week there were only bankrupt businesses that were listed so, maybe they have stopped. Usually there is about 5 listed people aswell.

I have noticed that our local paper is not printing notices - mind you, they were not printing all when I went BR last Feb 08; there were only 2 to be in that weeks (me included) paper when 3 of us went BR on that one day alone. There are now very few personal ones but the business one seems to have taken over!

Perhaps its not cost effective for them anymore???
