poss.ms-selling loan/gift trust

hi, am new, but have burning issue. Last year my 89 year-old father & 80 year-old mother seem to have been mis-sold fairly expensive gift and loan trusts by financial adviser with major bank. Father originally wanted to simplify affairs. As oldest child I seem to have been deliberatly kept out of loop until trusts signed and cooling off period finished. Wasn't made clear to sister there at part of 2 meetings that she needed to sit in or check things. Both needed to live for 7 years to make trusts worked (neither expected this and father died last month). Father v. astute but tired by then. All safe nat. savings bonds sold for funds with no capital protection. Father appears to have sent letters wanting clarification after money signed away. Non of risks appear to have been made clear. Copy of letter to father altered to give more info. when supplied to me after his death. Apparently, father putting money into trusts now makes nonsense of his nil rate band will. Cost of advice was about £70,000. Any advice most welcome.
