i was toying with the idea of taking the kids to dublin for the day at some point through the holidays i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if children (they are all under 9) get any discount on the enterprise?
i have looked at the online booking and it is comming up as £15 each return...but dont give the option for children?
they would have to be having a laugh to charge me £60 for me and 3 kids
i dont think i could drive it and the bus is a real no no for a 3yr old.......newcastle here we come ?
any thoughts on the charges for the train?

Why doesn't Belfast have a miniature model railway?
Surely there's a market for it?0 -
if you can drive, drive to Malahide (once you reach the border at Newry its a straight drive on open motorway!) then get a family ticket on the DART for 14 euro for 2 adults and up to 4 kids, its a hop on hop off - theres an amazing kids park at malahide castle then you can get the train all the way across Dublin along the coast, end up in Bray for the beach and amusements, stop off in Dublin city centre on the way back, DART back to malahide, drive home....Norn Iron Club Member #64

the one in Malahide is just a room with recreations of Belfast Central, Dublin Connolly, Malahide itself and Cork I think, really really well done, there is a small model railway in Downpatrick at the Steam Society where they've restored a steam engine and you can ride itNorn Iron Club Member #64

Sorry happymummy but I think the £15 day return is already heavily discounted and doesn't attract a further child reduction though children under 5 travel free. How many under 5s do you have?
See here for terms and conditions0 -
What about exchanging some Tescos vouchers for deals? Think you can use them for this? Maybe someone here has done this before and can confirm?0
