Could really do with some help and hopefully someone will be able to offer me some advice!!!
Im due to move soon from Manchester to Essex, I was going to hire a van and my friend was going to drive it for me (i dont drive) i found one for £49 for 24 hours, which i thought would be great the only downside to this is that they want a £250 deposit to hire the van due to the fact that im paying by cash (i dont have a credit or debit card and nor does my friend). I also dont have the money in cash after paying the deposit on the new house.
I have emailed some man and van companies on ebay and have been quoted £470
I have had a quote from a removals company for £675.
Im currently trying to see if anyone I know has a van or knows someone with a van but so far havent had much luck
Has anyone any ideas of how i can move all my stuff and keep the costs down?
I dont have a great deal to move a double bed, set of bunk beds, dining table (all of which can be dismantled) a coffee table and a tumble dryer the rest is boxes, bags and suitcases.

ask on your local gumtree, or freecycle cafe (search yahoo groups for your town + freecycle + cafe..
maybe someone going that way, might have space (offer gas money, food ??)
for stuff/help/favours etc that dont fit in the 'real' freecycle..:beer:Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
