Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

& didn't Ms Spicegirl, try to stop your team calling themselves POSH, too - & lost, of course!!??

Don't think ANYONE is, these days, we've all got far too many of the 'things' posh people once aspired to.

I'ts made us more of a classless society - that means, nobody has any class!!

Oh all right, except us Monysavers, we're a class ABOVE, of course!!

My husband says I'm posh :-/

    And that I'm a snob :o
It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know
  • It's fairly untrendy I'm told to be regarded as "upper middle class" hence the rise of the "Mockney" accent at all levels.
As for he word "POSH" like the phrase "UPPER CLASS" it an oxymoron if used in reference to one's self as no-one genuienly defined by the words would use it except perhaps in an ironic sense such as "Posh Nosh". It therefore can be said that "Posh" is not a "Posh" word ;D

The upper class twits call people who move into their area 'New Money' people.

I think we can all call ourselves 'New Money' rather than posh because thanks to Martin and this site, we are all saving lots of dosh and moving up in the world........aren't we? ;D

Stupid snobs, those wth genuine etiquette and good breeding (from whatever artificial social strata someone else puts them in) don't make such stupid judgements
On the other hand the "new money" who behave like Harry Enfield's "Loadsa Money" character (remember that from the eighties?) deserve all the stick they can get from anyone who has manners, however rich or poor they are.

Another real tragedy is that the class system, which I despise, if often maintained by those who want to wear an overt "working class" lable and make jibes at those they perceive as "posh" just because they speak with a "received pronounciation" accent. I've heard them describe it as a "snobby accent" the irony being that such commentary is itself inherently snobbish (or inverted snobbery depending on your take).
