Discharged, need a cheque book, any ideas?

Hi All,
As the title says I am discharged from bankruptcy and would really like a cheque book. No overdraft, no debit card, nothing else just a bog standard account with a cheque facility.
I already have a co-op cashminder account which is ideal but lacks the cheque book.
I have applied for Natwest basic account but got turned down due to BR being on my file. I was gonna give it a month or so before I done the credit file clean up so any ideas in the mean time?
And yes I really do need a chequbook, I know there are alternatives.
Cheers
(lol, just realised I posted this in the credit card section by mistake, cue the flames)

Its a bit cold. Just waiting for the heat.
(Bored tonight. Its either fanning flames here or going to bingo with the MIL at the church hall............)0 -
Aw, they're not too bad over there, I've posted a few times in their section without any nastiness, certainly alot friendlier than some of the others
ITBS, let me know how you get on, a cheque book would be really really useful for me too. It's a right pain making sure I have exact money for all the school trips, subs, photos etc etc for 3 childrenAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I get my son to write me a cheque when I need it.

I needed to send some money with my driving licence - had to change the picture as it was nothing like me, and I mean nothing like me!! I had to get a postal order in the end which cost me £2!! Would have been a lot easier and cheaper if I had a cheque book.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500

Well thanks a lot you guys.
No heat, no flames so I got stuck with bingo and MIL..... You could have started a fight. Just a small one.0 -
I just got my son's and daughter's provisional licence and paid cash at the post office.Lightattheend wrote: »I needed to send some money with my driving licence - had to change the picture as it was nothing like me, and I mean nothing like me!!
