  • ThatsYourLot,

I just thought i would let you know that i had a Barclaycard with a credit limit of £5650.00. I was on holiday in Florida Christmas 2007 and my husband put his wallet in the safe at the Disney hotel and left it there the whole time. I had informed the C/C that we would be in flordia and not to stop the debits to it from that area incase i needed to use it. Three days into my three week holiday my card got declined on a number of occasions and for little amounts.

When i got home we found out that my card had been used in new york for the tune of £4800.00. I rang the company explain what had happened. They refunded every single transaction within 2 weeks with no further explanation. I didn't have to send them any proof or nothing.

So don't let the C/C company try to screw you over for the charges by saying you don't have evidence because they don't need it they have there own ways of telling.

    EBD :)

  • Sorry it was my husbands card that had been used not mine. And according to the C/C fraud team the card had been present. So someone at Disney got into our safe!
