Hi
As i mainly walk in the midge capital of the world Glen Affric in Scottish Highlands, in Summer I always have to use an insect repellent to keep the lovely midges away. However there are also patches (Vitamin B1?) out there which you wear for a couple of hours beforehand. Has anybody tried these? Are they as effective as a good liquid based repellent? (eg EcoGuard)

hi, I've tried patches, though not these ones and not for UK, and they have not worked. The only thing I found which does work is DEET. It is a bit strong, but does the job.0

Garlic Tablets are a good idea if you attract biting insects - you sweat it out of your pores and then they are put off by the smell0

they say eating marmite has the same effect0
