Mortgage app. while on maternity leave

Hello-
Not sure if anyone can help with this but I'm on maternity leave at the moment and applying for a mortgage.
I have a letter from my employer stating my position, normal salary and return to work date.
However I'm worried about my bank statement - I've been living in my overdraft for the last few months and I don't know if the maternity leave will be taken into account? Should I add a little note?!
Thanks for your help x

This has been read 21 times and no one has replied to you !
You give very little info
Are you a first time buyer ?
Do you have a good deposit ?
How much do you earn ?
What size of mortgage do you want?
Price of property? Type of property
Are you buying it on your own?
CSA ! child benefits, WTC, CTC, income from work.
Type of job ?
Is your job safe ( building worker !!!)
if you are "living in my overdraft " can you afford a mortgage.
We know very little about you or your finances.0 -
being in your overdraft is fine, going past it is a no no.
An explanation would be a good idea, after all it shows you are aware of the situation.0
