It seemed last year as if online bookmakers were falling over themselves to offer free bets on the Grand National but this year I've not seen any.

Depends on the bet size you are after. The Sun normally do a £2 free bet if you buy it on National day, which is good value considering the paper only costs about 50p.

The problem is that it will normally involve your being able to go to the shop of only one chain of bookmakers I think it's notmally ladbrokes. Otherwise, it's no strings.

I'm going for Innox. Run last year and finished the course, so has the stamina and course knowledge with the same rider as last year.

Take the odds and go for each way. Likely to shorten on the day.
