Does anyone know where I can buy the cheapest wooden train track that is compatible with BRIO.
I am aware all companies, from supermarkets to Boots and ELC make them, so I was wondering who sells the cheapest. I can buy individually.
Thanks

Not sure if it's compatible with Brio but Oxfam have recently been selling off their boxed train sets (children of the world & animals of the world) for just 99p, they're really nice & have track, trains and children figures in them - excellent value0

Again. not sure if compatible with Brio, but Tchibo have one they sell.
There is a code for free P&P (£3.95) on the board somewhere - do a search for Tchibo to find it.

Try Asda. I bought my son a set at Christmas with 100 pieces for about £8. It looks the same as Brio and I'm sure it fits as well.:smileyhea0

im pretty certain that just about ALL the wooden tracks are compatible with each other. I would suggest steering clear of the track that connect with pegs rather than a solid piece as they can get broken easily & can pose a choking hazard to younger children.
hope that helps.

ikea's tracks have the plastic peg - rather than solid one piece bit - and also though it said compatible will all wooden train sets [you know they mean brio] the bridges are too low for tesco or brio trains to fit under. [so every time we go in a train now my 3 yr old asks if we are going to crash into the bridge!]
also having a prob with chad valley [woolies] tracks. the curve is just too tight for brio trains, and the angle of the bridges just too much for the motorised brio trains.
[can you tell i have a house full of train addicts yet?]
found the tesco track to be very good value. i think it was £1.50 for 4 straight or 4 curved pieces. [certainly under £2]. no probs with angles, but the blue iron-style bridge a little too narrow for brio trains.
also found boots selling off brio track - also packs of 4 - for just under £2, but this was just after xmas, last year and year before. also boots last xmas had loads of brio trains reduced - certainly worth looking after next xmas.
now must go to recreate the district line on the floor again.....0 -
Came across a new website that has just opened selling wooden train sets and tracks at www jkoys.co.uk . Currently hace opening offers on and if you use the voucher code welcome10 then you get an extra 10% off.
I just got a set of 8 junctions for £9 - much cheaper than I could find even second hand on eBay; hopefully these aren't just opening offers - the voucher code is valid until next March.0
