I need something to trap & kill flies in v big room

Help please!
I need something to attract, trap and kill flies in my big kitchen/diner. It has v high vaulted ceilings so I need something that works in a large space. I don't want anything that involves spraying chemicals into the air.
I have tried the sunflower wondow stickers. As I type I have four of the stickers on windows in the room (put up yesterday) and about five flies still buzzing round. I even watched one land on the sticker and then fly off again! I have been told the electric things are not that good.
Does anyone have anything that works well?

I buy the sticky flypaper that comes in little rolls. Last lot I bought were from Robert Dyas. They are very affective.
I know they can be seen as 'cruel' by some people as the fly sticks to it and dies a slow death but to me, they are flies...0 -
You could try making your own insect repellent...0

They do need to hang, they kinda automatically hang once you pulled the paper out the tube.
Mine hang in corners as they are very sticky and wouldn't want anyone, part from the flies, to get stuck into them.

Got the fly paper - don't care how cruel it is sorry. More cruel to have them crawling over my children's food and high chair!
They have been up a couple of hours and still buzzing everywhere. We have four up so just putting up two more. Have also got a Rentokil pen that you "draw" round the wondows on the glass. Did that last night - came down this morning - one dead fly!
They are winning - we are losing - arrggghhhhh!MTC NMP Membership #62 - made it back to size 12 after my children & I'm staying here!0 -
