According to BBC News this morning someone recently sold a 2p coin for £600. All because it had '2p New Pence' on it after they were supposed to have dropped the word 'New'. Seems there's money to be made from dodgy coins.

Just emptied my five year olds piggy bank where he is saving the 'new money' and he has loads of 20ps all with the date on. :mad:

Got all excited and thought had one as no date on side with queens head then realised it is only the new style one not one from 2004 with the date printed on the other side!!!

Damn it Im pretty sure I have had one of these! I remember looking at it and thinking, Oh they must be stopping putting the date on new ones, thats a bit odd. but I put it back in my purse and have since spent it!!! Typical.

Argh I had one of these too but spent it !

Looks like its hit facebook and collectors are offering £60 each for unlimited coins (unlike the website mentioned where it is limited to just one coin).
