    Because thats negative and there are nicer, less passive-aggressive (and more direct) ways of going about that problem.

    Would anyone else find it quicker and easier if the new buttons disappeared (like the thanks button) when we clicked on it instead of taking us to a new page that we have to return from?

    Hopefully spam and expired buttons will help take some pressure from board guides.

    Also, some people to do post spam in good faith. New button will stop unecessary unpleasant comments which have been known before and which also bump the post which we do not really want to do it if it is spam.
