Cashplus Creditbuilder credit card

Hey,
I am trying to re-build my credit rating, so that one day (2013 hopefully!) someone will consider offering me for a mortgage (plenty of time to save a deposit!)
I have applied for Vanquis and Aqua cards, but declind for both, so was looking at the Cashplus Creditbuilder card. Has anyone used this card to try to improve their credit rating? Did it work? What worries me that as the credit is for such a small amount (£54.95 I believe) that it wont have any effect and it will just be a waste of money.
I was declared bankrupt in 2006, so I realise that the bankruptcy would've been removed by 2013, but would just like to do all I can to increase my chances!
Thanks,
Cheryl

TBH every little helps...but with the bankruptcy sitting on your credit files for 6yrs anything you do will be damage limitation.....have you cleaned up your files?

More or less sorted out the credit files, I'm just following up on a couple of things.. May give it a go then, as you say every little helps!0

I somehow managed to keep my mobile on contract through the whole bankruptcy, so that is showing all up to date on my credit file.
I will try home shopping maybe once credit file is completely up to date.
Thanks!0
