Had a letter from Co-op this morning about "Improvements to the way we charge for unpaid items.
Basically its about the way they charge if you go overdrawn as is to too i guess in part to the over charging by banks if you go overdrawn.
What confuses me is it seems quite friendly (to a point) if this happens but as i understood it if you have a cashminder and go overdrawn as they suggest after 3 strikes you would lose your account............
any ideas? I wondered if they had changes this policy as if not this letter is a little misleading as i guess you will all be reading over your cornflakes this morning.

Not had this one yet, but doubt they will get rid of their 3 strikes policy. I am guessing that they are goig to be charging differently when you do go over because they still charge you with the 3 strikes thing, £19 a pop if I remember rightly.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

I have to put my hand out for a slap on this one - I recieved this letter last week, gave it a quick glance (saw it was about going over drawn, thought oh well can't happen to me)I'm on a cashminder account and binned it!
Sounds like I should have read it, can anyone who's recieved it put up a nice simple version for thicko's like me!0 -
Oooops me too....opened letter saw `change to charges` & just thought `blah, blah, blah`. Think it went in the bin.0
-
i had that and was abit confused.
i cant find it as i think archie got a little creative with a pen so it went in the bin lolIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
they love it
it would quite simple to bounce any item that would put any account into overdraft or over any agreed overdraft limit, and at nil cost to them, boooiiing, send it back through the BACS system, no need for a letter, no costs
EXCEPT, that wouldnt make em anything, so they pay the item, send you an automated letter and charge you £25 upwards....
at least !!!!!! turpin had the decency to wear a mask0 -
:rolleyes:I too had one of these letters, it seems to be saying they won't be charging as much per quarter in charges. They were reducing it from £300 a quarter what you could be charged, down to £150 a quarter max. Seemed to be saying they were being fairer with their charges:D0

I didn't read mine either. Because a) I rarely use the account, b) I have no intention of ever going overdrawn again, but mainly c) because the charges are not going to benefit me in anyway; a charge is a charge is a charge and its unaffordable.
So off to the recycle bin it went.0 -

I did the same thing! Oooops. Im in the naughty corner too!0 -
I read mine! lolz.
Got the impression i wouldnt be charged a fee for going overdrawn (the £££ charge one off) as long as i had been in credit for a full year beforehand.0 -
Well at last i have found something i am useful on here the fact that i am such an anorak that i actually read mine and pointed it all out to you........HA HA.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:
