c tax and c nenafir ,is it income?

Hi
Child tax credits and child benefits.
I know you have to tell them about these but do they count as income as far as working out whether you are going to be given an ipa?

Child Tax Credit is counted but Child Benefit isn't so your surplus has to be £99 + whatever the ChB is before you are liable for an IPA.

Have you had your OR interview yet?

    I'm here!

As far as I'm aware, tax credits are included but child benefit is not. I think the reasonning is that child benefit is paid specifically for the child. I get more than my wages in tax credits but then they do cover my £650 per month child care fees!!
