This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

    Evening all,

I am pledging £40 for this week as it was payday last Friday and I am going out for dinner on Tuesday but nothing else planned for the week.

We have a lot of green this week which is brilliant. I have added all the results and pledges from last week's thread let me know if I have missed anything.

    Morning all!

£30 for me please, not including groceries or entertainment costs, as both have separate budgets.

I have fallen off the weekly spend wagon badly recently and need to get back on track as otherwise I will be up a certain financial creek without a paddle :rotfl:

    Hi All

I love this challenge, so I'd like to beat last weeks target so please put me down for £20, I've already spent £10 on car booting, but it was worth it, so £10 to go- easy to do I hope!

    Hi

Could I please join this challenge? I have started a spending diary so that I can see where my cash is going (on chocolate all too often!). There is always month left at the end of my money and my aim is to reverse that and have money left at the end of the month.
Could I pledge £20 for this week please.

OK so I checked with my health insurance and they will reimburse 100% of my costs up to a maximum of €250 per annum for dentist work,. Phew.

That should cover my problem tooth and then, if anything further is needed, I can spread the appointments (and cost) over a longer time :)

Soooooooooo.....I would like to make a pledge this week, after all. €20 again for me please :)

    Hope all are well.

And forgot to add that didn't spend anything yesterday, but spent €3.69 on lunch today (I have to get out of this habit!).

I declare £15 for last week.

This week I would like to try £30, not sure how this will work out as we are going to Oxford for 3 days and my challange is for 7 days.
