help needed!

Thanks for all the help given in my last post guys:money:, If I go BR I understand my bank account gets frozen however how would i get to pay mortage rent bills and food etc in this case and would I have time to set up a new account to get my salary paid into ? Also if my IVA supervisor was to suggest BR to my creditors how long roughly would it take for my bankruptcy to be actioned.

finally I have a few bills i currently pay monthly outside of the iva two catalogue companies and a few outstanding mobile phone bill debt collection companies along with BT. Do I have to include them in some sort of creditors list before BR or can I just phone them up and inform them after the BR order has been made?

thanks to you all once again for your continued support.

    Hi Richie

Yes your current accounts will freeze immediately on BR date.

You should get DDR details before BR ....open a new account post BR & install DDRs on that. Coop / Barclays seem favourites. In some cases such an account opened but used pre BR can be ageed for use by the OR.

I would pay cash for bills immediately after BR until the situation can be clarified.

    Hope that helps,

thanx , I have a basic halifax account not current account, I use this now as my main one will this be frozen, just worried about the bills being paid on time after the BR order has been made and whether mortgage council etc would be understanding on payments being a bit late.

Halifax will have that account closed before you even leave the court! They are the MOST BR unfriendly bank around!

The Halifax closed my accounts the day the notice appeared in the Gazette!

However my Co-op account (opened before BR) never faltered and all the bills due to be paid got paid with no problems. Only downside with the Co-op was I lost my Savings account with them but I was expecting that so it only had £1 in it! :D
