yesterday, i bought a "tesco finest vanilla bean and honey smoothie with yoghurt" from the reduced to clear section. it is still in date (doesnt expire until the 6th) but it is absolutely foul, and for a "finest" product, i was really expecting better.

i was really looking forward to it, but it is too horrible to even contemplte taking more than a swig
i was wondering whether tescos customer service policy extended to their own brand products - ie, are they willing to refund if you dont like it, or is it just a life lesson, and a case of knowing never to buy it again?
to be honest, the money isnt that much of an issue - i only paid just over a pound for it. im just somewhat shocked that they could stick a "finest" label on something so disgusting
any advice appreciated

That was exactly what i did when I found out on day purchased that some of the strawberries I bought from Asda had gone bad. I took them back with my receipt and not only was my money refunded I was also given a nice punnet of strawberry for free.0 -
Don't know about Tesco, but Mrs Q complained to Sainsbury the her (quite expensive) large steak and Kidney pie had very little meat inside ... unlike the photograph on the box ... and had the money refunded.Watch out for the sandbag.0

i bought a packet of tesco value sponge mix, and used an egg, and jam to make a microwave "steamed" pudding. turned out it was batter mix in a sponge mix packet, so i got refund, plus the cost of 6 eggs, jar of jam, and a pint of milk (for the custard i'd made in readiness that was wasted0 and a packet of dearer sponge mix free. tesco's are good, never had a problem.

I work in Tesco and their policy is if you don't like anything you buy take it back with in 28 days with your reciept and they will refund you. Even if you don't have a reciept they still might refund you. They want to keep their customers happy so they bend over backwards. Hope this helps.

At Christmas I bought a dozen Tesco Deep Filled mince pies. When I bit into the first one, it was only half filled with mincemeat (and the pastry wasn't very nice either), despite the box showing a half eaten pie with mincemeat filling the pastry case. I took the rest back, stating my reasons, and was given a full refund with no quibble.
However, the CS lady checked the ingredient list on the box and made the comment that mincemeat was listed as 50% I didn't have the energy at the time to point out to her that that didn't mean the pie should only be 50% filled0
