How to fix a leather belt?

I have a woven leather belt, in vgc that has started unravelling at the end that goes through the buckle. Anyone have any clever (cheap) ideas on how to fix this?Its a lovely belt, and I would love to fix it rather than just bin it.

    Ask someone with a heavy duty sewing needle? Take it to the shoe menders and ask them to stitch it? Run it through the sewing machine with a denim needle very slowly?
