Is a property release required?

hi there,

i am a student in photography and at a recent exhibition there was a lot of interest in a photograph i took from the top of the south tower of the Forth Road Bridge, my question is do i need a property release in order to sell this photograph?

Not if you are in the UK.

Highly unlikely, but each country has different laws. Your end user is responsible for knowing what they need for each image.

Different buildings are different too. EG You cannot sell a picture of the lights on the Eiffel Tower as royalty free without a property release because it is copyrighted design, but you can sell a picture of it during the day without.
